Plot

Krishnan [Vishnu Unnikrishnan] is a wanna be actor but he is right now a struggling artist doing small roles. Finally a director calls him to do a lead character in his film which will go into floors soon. How this changes his life and what all awaits him forms the rest.

Performances

The biggest plus for the movie is the right casting Nadirshah has done for his lead hero. Vishnu, who is also one of the writer of the movie is very convincing as an underdog. His innocent appearance and simple characterisation takes away the sympathy of the audience in the very beginning itself. Heroines have done their part well. Siddique is at his usual best and his mannerisms as an ardent Jayan fan in the beginning is hilarious. But the movie belongs to Dharmajan and Salim Kumar who leaves the theatres into splits whenever they appear on screen, especially Dharmajan who is in a great form. Its a welcome come back from Salim Kumar who was struggling to leave an impact in all recent films. Thanks to the impressive one liners from the writers.

Story – Screenplay- Direction

There is nothing new in the storyline which speaks about a wanna be actor and his struggles. Screenplay is neat in the first half but goes bit weak halfway into second half. Nadirshah’s direction is alright. But what carries the movie is the one liners and the comedy situations in the movie. Almost all the comedies are novel and thus you can’t stop laughing at those.

Technical Department

Shamdat’s cinematography is good. Editing is ample. But the movie’s music is below average. Few art works during songs are attractive.

Analysis

The film starts off with a bang. From then it is a fun ride with back to back hilarious scenes. But halfway to the second half things goes outdated and sentiments are weak. But again the sympathy towards hero character works towards the end and makes us forget about the shortfalls in the writing. Overall it is worth a watch for the genuine comedies and sincere performances from the main cast. The movie is sure to make good business at the ticket windows.
